Diamond sector donates 1105 kilograms of sugar to the Antwerp Food Bank

The Antwerp diamond sector raised 1300 euros for charity during a unique ‘diamond cocktail’, organized by AWDC. Visitors eager for a chance to win a real diamond could buy a glass of champagne for 5 euros.
The money raised through AWDC’s ‘diamond cocktail’ was donated to the Food Bank, which was able to buy 1105 kilograms of sugar.
"It was an ideal opportunity to raise money for the less fortunate in the province of Antwerp ," said Freddy Inzlicht, Vice Chairman of the AWDC.
The Food Bank of the Province of Antwerp h operates on donations from companies and surpluses it receives from supermarkets.
