Jewelry market strongly moving towards online sales

19 november 2014

Russia will for the first time host round table Online Retail Russia 2014.
The delegates will discuss the strategic plan of online jewellery retail for 2015-2017 in the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo on November, 27-28.
The round table will be headed by Olga Suvorova, CEO of one largest online jewelry stores in Russia "". It took her six years to reach a leading position in Russia in the given segment, successfully competing with large retailers.
Jewellery retail is one of the most actively developing categories in online sales segment being also one of marginal product categories.
Both traditional brands and online retailers increase jewellery sales via the global net.
Back in 2012 Russian “Center for Strategic Studies ENTER” analyzed indicators of Western and Russian companies and foud out that a fast-growing and successful business can be built with the focus on online sector, perfumes and jewellery. Customers realize that online shopping is more comfortable, interesting and attractive.
The participants will discuss a wide range of questions, for instance, if traditional "offline" trader should open a website or better rely upon a trustful partner in the IT sphere. Representatives of the sector will classify online shoppers and dwell upon the issues of trust towards the e-commerce, including the viability of web-sales of high-end jewellery and diamonds.
The event includes an exhibition of innovative solutions for the e-trade.
