Pangolin finds more kimberlite indicator minerals at Botswana project

14 november 2014

Pangolin Diamonds has recovered more kimberlite indicator minerals from a detailed surface sampling programme at its Malatswae project in Botswana.
It said in a statement that 13 mineral grains and a fragment of garnet peridotite were recovered from two separate source areas at the site.
These were close in proximity to the previously reported diamonds.
Pangolin said that all indicator minerals show features consistent with a proximal host rock such as kimberlite.
A total of 62 soil samples from 31 sample sites were collected to further qualify the earlier discovery of three diamonds and kimberlite indicator minerals from within a 1 sq km area of the Malatswae project.
Pangolin had already completed a ground magnetic survey and was now collecting ground gravity points over specific magnetic features in close proximity to the kimberlite indicator minerals.
Two geophysically-distinct areas were selected for follow up close-spaced soil sampling.
Pangolin had four exploration properties in Botswana, including Tsabong North.
