21 may 2014

cibjo_news2a_21052014.jpgSpeaking at the opening of the International Jewellery Congress of CIBJO, the chairman of the Russian Jewellers Guild Association Gagik Gevorkyan announced two proposals to the international jewellery community.
“The first proposal is related to the fact that jewellers do not have an official professional holiday,” - Gagik Gevorkyan stated. “It would be reasonable on the part of CIBJO to apply to UNESCO with a proposal to establish the International Day of Jewellers. Hopefully, during the congress you will share suggestions regarding the date with the organizing committee.”

According to the chairman of the Board of the Russian Jewellers Guild, this award would "unite the winners of world's jewelry exhibitions and sel ect “the best of the best.”
