Krastsvetmet is Capable of Processing Russia’s Entire Gold Output

23 april 2014

OJSC Krastsvetmet is able to produce almost twice as much gold, according to a recent statement by the company’s CEO Mikhail Dyagilev in an interview to Yenisey TV.
“With the output of 132 tonnes our current capacities allow us to produce up to 250 tonnes of gold. And we are ready to double our production, although our forecast for 2014 implies a 35% growth in production over the previous year,” Dyagilev noted.
He also drew attention to the fact that Krastsvetmet made a breakthrough in the market in 2013 garnering more raw materials for processing. This means that mining companies are eager to cooperate with Krastsvetmet, and this is seen as a significant milestone not only in terms of economy, but mostly in terms of reputation.
Presently, Krastsvetmet collaborates with 150 mining companies based in Russia and abroad.
Russia processed 254 tonnes of gold in 2013, which saw a 13% growth compared to the previous year. The achieved results permitted Russia to become the world’s third largest gold producer.
