GJEPC of India to host ‘India Pavilion’ at Basel World 2014

In its 15th Edition at Basel World 2014 (March 27 to April 3, 2014), India’s ‘India Pavilion’ boasts of a select 23 Indian Export Houses that cater to the European market. Spread across 300 sq. metres area, the India Pavilion includes industry players like Livingstones, Ratnakala Exports,Thumar Gems, Uni Design Jewellery Pvt. Ltd, Gemporium, Diasqua India Pvt. Ltd, Arihant Star, among others.
Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India says, “GJEPC has been invited once again to host the ‘India Pavilion’, which is one of the most prestigious locations at the Basel World, and an indication of India’s increasing significance as an important manufacturing hub. India exports USD 33 billion to key European markets, such as UK, Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany etc, and we expect this trend to undergo a progressive movement this year.”
This year, the Indian contingent has focused on newer trends, design and innovation in the products to be showcased at Basel. An added attraction will be the ‘India Palace’ that showcases the most exquisite and coveted jewellery by the Indian participants.
