Congress CIBJO - first time in Moscow

The World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) and Russian Jewelers Guild invite jewelry industry professionals to take part in the annual Congress of CIBJO, which will be held in Moscow on May 17-21, supported by the Russian Federation Government, Ministry of Finance, Gokhran and Assay Chamber.
The jewelry forum will bring together representatives of national jewelry associations from over 40 countries and transnational associations of the global jewelry industry.
The target audience of the CIBJO Congress includes jewelry companies and catering agencies, as well as state authorities, financial institutions and insurance companies, jewelry public associations, exhibition companies and major research institutes.
As it is stated in the address of CIBJO President Gaetano Cavalieri, “Russia represents the length and breadth of our industry, with massive supplies of raw minerals, diamonds and coloured gemstones, a fast developing jewellery industry, and one of the world’s most exciting jewellery markets.” Mr. Cavalieri also expressed his confidence that the Congress would provide “an invaluable opportunity to explore the new frontiers it offers our business, and also to visit this fascinating city and country.”
For his part, Gagik Gevorkyan, Chairman of the Russian Jewellers’ Guild, assured that the Russian jewellery community was looking forward to the opportunity of welcoming their colleagues from around the world, and introducing them to the Russian jewelry industry and market.
The Congress will be held in the historic location of Moscow – at the Nikolskaya Kempinski Hotel next to the Red Square and the Kremlin.
The business program of the Congress features such speakers as Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, the Russian President's Representative for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi, Head of Gokhran Andrey Yurin, Head of Assay Chamber Alexander Markin, Messrs. Gagik Gevorkyan and Gaetano Cavalieri, as well as the heads of CIBJO commissions and committees.
The other planned activities of the Congress include the presentation of jewelry for Angelina Jolie from Miiori’s collection, “Style of Jolie” (a charity project to help the needy children of the world), the “Russia XXI Century” jewelry exhibition contest and the award ceremony for the contest winners under the auspices of the Russian Federation Ministry of Culture.
There will be also a cultural program for the guests to the Congress, including excursions to the Diamond Fund of Russia and the Moscow Kremlin Armory, as well as visiting the Bolshoi Theatre.
