Pangolin Diamonds appoints new CEO

29 january 2014

Pangolin Diamonds has appointed Rick Bonner as its new president and chief executive following the resignation of Willem Smuts, who had served in this role since the company was established.
No details on Smuts' resignation were provided.
The company said Bonner, a professional geologist, had over 30 years of mineral exploration experience on four different continents, exploring for gold, uranium, copper and diamonds.
"We are delighted to have Rick Bonner join our senior management team. His past experience working in Africa and with diamonds will be of great assistance," said Pangolin chairperson Leon Daniels in a statement.
Pangolin owns four separate project areas in Botswana including the Tsabong North, Jwaneng South, Malatswae and Mmadinare Projects.
It was currently focused on Tsabong North where it recently found over 50 drill-ready targets in the area, several of which had surface areas greater than 20 hectares.
