Surat Rough Diamond Sourcing (India) Ltd. (SRDSIL) recently announced the opening of its new office and rough diamond center at C/401-403, Diamond World Building, Mini Bazar, Varachha Road, Surat – 395007.
The rough diamond viewing center has the latest state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced security systems - CCTV with 24 hour recording, strong room and finger print recognition - tender and auction solutions and comfortable cabins with the necessary equipment to view goods, according to the company’s press release cited by Rapaport.
Apart from its capacity to accommodate more than 30 staff, there are seven cabins offering the utmost privacy that can allow viewing for more than 50 customers on a single day, thereby allowing viewing by more than 300 customers in a week.
The office is situated in the diamond hub of Surat with International Gemological Institute (IGI), the Rapaport Group and other service providers and diamond companies as neighbors.
SRDSIL intends to offer this infrastructure and platform for selling rough diamonds as a service to global mining companies in addition to its own rough diamond distribution.
