Armenia to Develop Strategy on Development of Jewellery Industry

On 29 October, 2012, President of Republic Armenia Serj Sargsyan attended opening ceremony of a jewellery show, Regnum news agency were reported at press office of Armenian President.
The jewellery show features either domestic jewellery production or goods manufactured by more than 70 foreign companies. CIBJO President Gaetano Cavalieri and AJA President Gagik Gevorkyan also took part in the above event.
President of Armenia visited pavilions within the established exhibition, which has become traditional, and got familiarized with the jewellery production, having some talks with manufacturers and participants of the fair.
On 30 October Yerevan hosted a forum destined for discussion of the prospects for development of domestic jewellery industry as well as opportunities for creation of special economic zone on the territory of Zvartnots international airport. Armenian Ministry of Economy has developed strategies aimed at development of gold production, polished diamond and watches production.
