Laxmi Diamond Notes Good Sales From IIJS

Laxmi Diamond Pvt. Ltd. and sister firm Laxmi Dia Jewels Pvt. Ltd. had a good stream of customers at the 29th edition of India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) and their sales have shown a tremendous increase, according to press release cited by Rapaport.
Total group sales have increased by around 10 percent to 15 percent compared with last year. Total group sales of around $60 million have been achieved for loose diamonds, jewelry, gold jewelry and orders undertaken.
Sales of loose diamonds were average but small-size stones showed good response, while sales of certified goods were a bit slow. On the whole, Laxmi said they had a fantastic response from the customers at the show.
“We have been regularly participating at IIJS for many years and we look forward to such a good response in future too,” – according to the press release.
IIJS, India’s premier trade show, held by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) from August 23 to 27, 2012 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, displayed the widest range of gems and jewelry under different categories such as loose diamonds, plain gold jewelry, couture jewelry, among others. Delegations from trade associations across India and from a host of international destinations like Bangladesh, China, Dubai, Hungary, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Singapore participated in the show.
