Second edition of IJ Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards unfolds

The second edition of the Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards has unfolded, with 13 broad categories and 27 sub categories, this year, Diamond World reports. The award is being presented by the ‘Indian Jeweller’ magazine.
The JJS-IJ Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards 2012 have been conceptualized with new features including: a new ‘Designer Jewellery Category’, a new price point has been introduced - above Rs. 10 Lakh introduced for key categories like Best Bridal Jewellery, Best Necklace and Diamond Jewellery. Also, this year will set a new benchmark of highest votes.
The process of receiving entries has already begun on July 3, 2012 and will continue until September 2, 2012. Voting will be conducted through a dedicated website for the IJ Design Awards, ensuring transparency and fair judgment along with a lot of media coverage and market exposure for the winners. The scope of voting has increased – through computers, iPads and voting forms, to ensure maximum coverage of voters. Images of the entries will be uploaded on the website for viewing and voting from September 15, 2012.
Each category will be judged for the top three designs which win the maximum votes. These three designs will be deemed finalists for that category and the design to get the maximum number of votes will be the winner. The Finalists will be announced on December 1, 2012.
All category award winners and finalists will be featured in IJ’s “Best of the Best” Jewellers’ Choice Award supplement, which will be mailed with the January issue of IJ. Also, all category award-winning pieces will be featured in December-January 2012 Issue of IJ. Winners will be announced in the Gala awards evening on 22nd December, 2012.
