Botswana Diamonds: There are More Diamond Mines

Botswana Diamonds, a company devoted to exploring for diamonds, believes that Botswana has as-yet undiscovered diamond mines and is negotiating a partnership with a company that can provide “new technological approaches,” Botswana Diamonds Chairman John Teeling said last week, Israelidiamond.co.il reported.
According to a report on the Mmegi.bw news site, Teeling explained in a company operations update that the goal of the joint work was to “identify large diamondiferous kimberlite pipes with the potential to become high-volume, high-value [diamond] mines.” Teeling noted that the new exploration venture, when launched, would focus on the country’s northeast region, including the area around the existing Orapa mine, where Botswana Diamonds has applied for new exploration licenses.
