AWDC pavilion to host 12 Antwerp diamond companies at Vicenzaoro First 2010

18 december 2009

In a sign of growing optimism regarding the European market, the Antwerp World Diamond Centre's (AWDC) pavilion at the upcoming Vicenzaoro First show will be hosting 12 Antwerp-based diamond companies, Rough&Polished were reported at AWDC.
The Antwerp Diamond Pavilion will be located at a prime location in Padiglione G, Diamond Avenue, near Ingresso Est.
The January 16-21 Vicenzaoro First fair, traditionally the first major event on the jewellery industry's calendar, is regarded as a trend-setter for jewellery designs, giving a preview of the designs that will be seen in the new year.
With financial indicators showing that many European countries are either emerging from or are already out of recession, Belgian firms believe this is the right time to invest in marketing in the European market.
Organisers of the fair are expecting 1,500 exhibitors from 55 Italian provinces and 31 countries, and say that a redesign of the exhibition space makes it easier to visit, while one area is being dedicated exclusively to foreign firms.
"We are very much looking forward to seeing the state of the European market, along with overseas markets, at the Vicenzaoro First show," said AWDC CEO Freddy J. Hanard. "After a difficult year in 2009, we believe there is renewed optimism as the global recovery gains strength and Antwerp diamond firms want to be well-positioned to enjoy rising demand. They will also be able to see the new fashions and trends for the coming year and that provides them with an advantage in being able to make adjustments to the products they offer."
