Bannerman finds new zone at uranium project in Namibia

23 october 2009

Bannerman Resources has intersected a new mineralised zone named Hyena at its Etango uranium project in Namibia.
The new mineralised zone at Hyena contains alaskite-hosted uranium mineralisation similar to the other Etango deposits.
Results had been returned from 42 reverse circulation drillholes at Hyena to date, with 20 of these intersecting significant mineralisation, it said.
The firm also said results from the infill resource definition drilling programme, from a further seven diamond and 16 RC drillholes at Onkelo deposit confirmed the near-surface broad zones of uranium mineralisation encountered in previous drilling.
Bannerman chief executive Len Jubber said the company was on target to report the preliminary feasibility study results over the coming months, and in the meantime continued to undertake resource definition, sterilisation and near-project exploration drilling programmes.
