Vyacheslav Shtyrov and Fyodor Andreyev arrived in Mirny

23 july 2009

Today Yakutia’s President Vyacheslav Shtyrov and ALROSA’s CEO Fyodor Andreyev arrived in Mirny. In the afternoon they plan a trip to the City of Udachny where they will visit social and production facilities.
The delegation will also visit the Undachninsky GOK, a mining-and-processing integrated works, which is a business subdivision of ALROSA, as well as its major production workshops.
The Undachninsky GOK due to its geographic location far away form the industrial areas in Yakutia is a compact enterprise which includes business units turning out the company’s major products: the Udachny Quarry, Dressing Plant No. 12, Tailings Workshop, Technological Transport Vehicles Fleet and Utility and Maintenance Services Workshop.
One of the facilities attracting the attention of the official delegation is the Undachny Mine currently under construction. At this stage, the workers finished sinking the ventilation and service shaft and plugged its stabilized space. Now they continue to reinforce the shaft and intend to complete the job within the current year.
This evening the President of the Republic of Yakutia and the Chief Executive Officer of ALROSA will meet the top managers of the Udachninsky GOK and those of the Udachny City municipality. On July 24, Vyacheslav Shtyrov and Fyodor Andreyev plan to go to the Aikhal Settlement.
