The annual meeting of ALROSA-Nyurba has been set for June 16, 2009, according to RosBusinessConsulting. The company says the date was approved by the Board of Directors during its meeting on the 28th of April. The shareholders' meeting will discuss a standard agenda including the annual report and its approval, the annual accounting report, distribution of profits and losses (and dividends) for 2008, election of the Board of Directors and Internal Audit Commission, approval of the auditing company for ALROSA-Nyurba and the company’s newly revised articles of incorporation.
ALROSA owns a 87.25% stake in ALROSA-Nyurba, and 10% are owned by the administration of the Nyurbinski Ulus of Yakutia. ALROSA-Nyurba’s authorized capital is equal to 20.0 million roubles. The company was established in 1997 and has licenses for developing primary and alluvial diamond deposits Nyurbinskoye and Botuobinskoye located on the territory of the Nakynskoye Kimberlite Field (Nyurbinski Ulus) 160 km from the Village of Malykai. The company’s main products are sold on the domestic and foreign markets. In 2006, ALROSA-Nyurba obtained a five-year quote for selling rough diamonds on the international market.
