Leviev Group invested 60 mln rubles into jewelry production in Perm

26 march 2009

The Group of companies of Israeli businessman Lev Leviev has invested 60 mln rubles for creation of production site of Moscow Jewelry Plant (MJP) in Perm, according to Moscow Jewelry Plant CEO Denis Adamsky.
The necessity of new jewelry production unit emerged due to increment load of production unit in Moscow. The decision is made of relocation of main MJP production units to Perm region in view of these circumstances.
The choice of this region is justified with the fact that some companies of Ruis Group already have operations in Perm (Uralalmaz and Kama-Kristall). Moreover, Perm region is attractive with its tax allowances (profits tax was reduced from 24% to 15.5%). Perm District governor is going to promote Assay Chamber section  foundation.
Project period started at the end of 2007, production startup came up in February 2009 whereby 50 kg of gold were processed by the plant during last month. Annual projected capacity of the plant amounts to 800 kg of gold, it shall be reached in September 2009. thus MJP plant will produce 20,000 jewelry items per month.
