AMBERIF Fair 2009 to open in Gdansk

International Fair of Amber, Jewellery and Gemstones - Amberif Fair – will take place from 11 to 14 March 2009 in Gdansk, AWDC told Rough&Polished. Over 450 exhibitors from 12 countries are expected. The latest edition of the Fair was visited by 9 176 persons from 40 countries from all over the world: representatives and owners of wholesale companies, chain outlets, retailers, galleries and museums, as well as scientists and gemmologists.
Amberif Fair is organized in topical sectors:
Amber Hall: jewellery with baltic amber, silver and gold jewellery with amber, decorative objects and items of applied art made of amber. 
Silver Hall: jewellery with baltic amber, silver and gold jewellery, gemstones, packaging, decorative objects and items of applied art made of amber. 
Gold Hall: gold and silver jewellery collections, diamonds, pearls, gemstones.
The Fair feature a number of interesting industry meetings and design competitions, the most prestigious of these being the Amberif Design Award.
The programme will include The Seminar on Diamonds, organized by the Association of Jewellery Experts in partnership with the HRD - Antwerp World Diamond Council.
The Amber Gala, a fashion and jewellery show by well-known fashion and jewellery designers, will suggest inspiration and trends for the nearest future.
