The company said in a statement that the new store was part of its expansion strategy aimed at "solidify[ing] its position as the leading jewelry distribution network in the Middle East.”
The new store, Damas Italia, opened on January 10, and will house Italian brands such as IOSI, Porrati and Nouvelle Bague, the company explained. Other Damas stores recently opened, either under its own brand or as the agent for international brands, at The Dubai Mall include Damas 18K, Damas Les Exclusive, Paspaley Pearls, Tiffany & Co, Graff, Folli Follie and Leo Pizzo. “The new nine outlets cater to a wide range of customers of different nationalities and socio-economic backgrounds and introduce a new format – Damas Concept Shop,” the company noted, adding that the stores would showcase Damas’ new diamond and gold creations.
Dubbed as the world’s largest shopping center, The Dubai Mall launched in November 2008 and is expected to feature more than 1,200 retail outlets, most of which have already opened, according to the mall’s website.
