Blue diamonds are highlights at Phillips and Bonhams New York auctions

Jewellery, diamonds and pieces from private collections will be offered by Phillips and Bonhams during their auctions, which will take place in early December.
The highlights of the sales will be fancy blue diamonds, Forbes reported.
Phillips New York Jewels sale On December 9, Phillips will offer a Tiffany & Co. platinum ring studded with a 3.01-carat fancy intense blue diamond with an estimate of $1.5 million - $2.5 million.
It will also put for sale nearly 100 lots from a “distinguished private collection of Belperron, Verdura, Schepps, Webb, Van Cleef & Arpels and Bulgari.
A pair of fancy blue diamond earrings will be offered by Bonhams on December 8. An 1.81-carat marquise-shaped brilliant-cut fancy intense blue diamond, and a 1.62-carat oval-shaped modified brilliant-cut fancy blue diamond will be up for sale. They are surmounted by two cushion-shaped modified brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing 2.24 and 2.28 carats. Its estimate is $850,000 - $1.25 million.
Bonhams offers 107 different lots.
