AGD Diamonds is awarded for effective social policy and transparency

AGD Diamonds, which is developing the Grib diamond field in the Arkhangelsk Province, has been recognized the winner of the regional stage of the industrial competition for the “Reduction in the Number of On-the-job Accidents and Occupational Diseases in the Industrial Organizations”, according to the press note from the company.
The mining company took part in the competition called “Russian Organization of High Social Effectiveness” in which AGD Diamonds was recognized for the effective staff management performance, active internal policies as well as social development and healthy lifestyle strategies.
“Our success in such competitions shows that our company possesses effective social policy and media transparency,” it said in a statement to Rough&Polished.

AGD Diamonds is so far the first organization in the Arkhangelsk Province which uses the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) complying with the world standards to inform its shareholders, partners and society about the implementation of company’s strategies on economic development, social welfare and ecological sustainability.
Meanwhile, AGD Diamonds intends to participate in the competition on the federal level. The official review ceremony will be held in March, 2019.
The “Russian Organization of High Social Effectiveness”, an annual event which has been held since 2000, aims at raising public awareness of the importance of social issues on the organizational level.
