Andrey Zharkov holds talks with head of Yahutia, signs new agreement with diamond miners' union

President of the Joint Stock Company ALROSA Andrey Zharkov took part in the meeting with the Head of the Republic of Yakutia Egor Borisov, which summed up the preliminary results of financial and economic activities of the company. In addition, Zharkov signed a new collective agreement with Profalmaz, a trade union of workers of Russian diamond industry.
During the meeting with Yakutia officials, Zharkov discussed the preliminary results of ALROSA for 2016 and its tasks for 2017. The parties also dwelled on the implementation of the agreement on social and economic development of the region.
In addition, issues of cooperation in creating favorable conditions for development of small and medium-sized businesses were discussed. In particular, they talked over measures to support the jewelry and the forest industry.
Meanwhile, a new agreement governing the relationship between the management of ALROSA and the workforce of the company was signed by Zharkov and chairman of the Profalmaz trade union Motrena Skryabina. The new contract will run until 2019, and all the major benefits and guarantees for employees of ALROSA retained intact.
