ALROSA to spend 14.5 billion rubles on innovative development programs in 2016-2023

(gold.1prime.ru) – ALROSA plans to implement innovative development programs in 2016-2023 worth 14.5 billion rubles, the company said.
The main efforts in the implementation of the program will be aimed at increasing the efficiency of exploration work at the expense of new exploration methods and research.
Among the objectives of the program are the development of geotechnology field improvements, updating the regulatory framework of mining operations (development of the national standard), as well as the search for new applications of diamonds in promising industries.
By 2023 results expected from innovative activities would reduce the cost of production and expand the revenue from sales, increase energy efficiency and environmental friendliness by reducing consumption of clean water and greenhouse gas emissions in CO2 equivalents, and increase productivity, the company also it said in a statement.
