Russia’s Sport Wrestling Federation inked RUB 105 million contract with major sponsor

(TASS) – The Sport Wrestling Federation of Russia (SWFR) has signed a new sponsorship deal with Russian mining company ALROSA, the leader in the diamond industry. The contract value is RUB 105 million, including VAT, according to Georgy Brusov, First Vice President of SWFR, who spoke to TASS.
“The previous agreement ended last December, and for us it was very important to retain the support of our main partner in the Olympic Year,” Georgy Brusov said. “The contract was made possible thanks to the position of the company’s management and that of its President Andrey Zharkov, as well as due to the active support of Vitaly Mutko, Sports Minister of the Russian Federation.”
According to Georgy Brusov, the money under this contract will be spent to fulfill the SWFR programs, to organize qualifying events, as well as for business trips, for acquisition of wrestling mats, for awards to winners of major tournaments, for international activities, promotion of wrestling and other purposes envisaged under the SWFR Charter.
