Indian and Belgian buyers displayed keen interest in Yakut diamonds at JUNWEX Petersburg 2012
The JUNWEX Petersburg 2012 jewelry show closed in St. Petersburg with many participants saying that the event produced better results this year compared to 2011. Rough&Polished asked Olga Mironova, who is heading the administration of the exhibition and media holding Restek JUNWEX, to comment on the outcome of this show.

Thierry Polakiewicz: I believe that there will always be a strong demand for polished diamonds
The three-day Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair (ADTF) organized by the Antwerp Diamond Bourse and the Diamond Club of Antwerp came to a successful finish on January 31 generating new business contacts both for local exhibitors and buyers from the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Thierry Polakiewicz, spokesman of the ADTF Organizers Committee, shared his view of the event with Rough&Polished.

Hard Stone Processing: The backbone of the industry should be the manufacturers
In July 2007, the Namibian arm of Diamond Trading Company announced competitive selection among the country’s diamond cutting factories to be included into the first list of NDTC sightholders. At that time, Hard Stone Processing (Pty) Ltd (HSP) was already working in Namibia as an independent manufacturer and its factory successfully occupied a strong position among the leading sightholders turning into one of the three top diamond cutting companies in Namibia.
