Hard Stone Processing: The backbone of the industry should be the manufacturers
In July 2007, the Namibian arm of Diamond Trading Company announced competitive selection among the country’s diamond cutting factories to be included into the first list of NDTC sightholders. At that time, Hard Stone Processing (Pty) Ltd (HSP) was already working in Namibia as an independent manufacturer and its factory successfully occupied a strong position among the leading sightholders turning into one of the three top diamond cutting companies in Namibia. Botswana’s Debswana says not in trouble
Botswana diamond miner, Debswana recently said that the temporary dip in diamond prices will likely see the company producing just below its target of 25 million carats for 2011. However, Esther Kanaimba-Senai, the Group’s Manager for Corporate and Public Affairs, told Rough&Polished in an interview that Debswana was not in trouble.

Moscow will host Trade Fair of Goods and Services for Jewellery Industry JEWELLER-TECH-2010

3rd International Trade Fair of Goods and Services for Jewellery Production and Trade JEWELLER-TECH-2010 is opening tomorrow in Pavilion ¹ 70 at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre, Moscow.
The Fair will take place on 11-14 September, 2010.
The Trade Fair will be held as a pure b2b event destined for industry professionals only and focuses on producers of jewellery products (jewellery production lines and individual entrepreneurs, technology and design), specialists of pawn shops, as well as wholesalers, retailers of jewellery products.
The idea behind the trade show JEWELLER-TECH consists of creation and consolidation of the leading jeweller technology industry platform at which professionals can meet, exchange experience, conclude new contacts and partner agreements.
The organizer of the trade show, the Russian Association "Suppliers of the goods and services for the jeweller branch", which was founded on September 6th, 2007 includes all major key players, occupying a considerable part of the Russian market for equipment, account materials and tools.
