Udi Behr is the most popular jewelry manufacturer, whose marketing policy is based on addressing sex minorities. His actions meant to stress his brand’s involvement in the fight for LGBT rights are the major component of information related to his company. On June 4, Udi Behr together with the Matthew Shepard Foundation is going to kick off a U.S.-wide one-month campaign in protection of sex minorities at The Abbey, a famous West Hollywood gay club.
According to the press release of his company published at Diamonds.net, at 8 p.m., gay couples from around the U.S.A. will tie the knot in an event officiated by the Mayor of West Hollywood and witnessed by Judy Shepard. Couples will be wearing the Matthew Shepard Erase Hate pendant courtesy of Love and Pride jewelry designer, Udi Behr. The Love and Pride Web site is the first online jewelry destination for people who believe in equality, diversity and tolerance for all, the press release underlines.
Behr created the pendant for Judy Shepard, in memory of her son, Matthew, who was the victim of a brutal anti-gay hate crime in Wyoming ten years ago (this was a well known case in America turned into a source of many movies and songs, including Elton John’s American Triangle). All the net proceeds from sales of the pendant will be remitted to the Matthew Shepard Foundation.
