GemeWizard Releases New Fancy Color Diamond Color Communication System

07.05.2008

In anticipation of the 2008 JCK Show in Las Vegas and the release of its innovative GemeFancy system for identifying colors in fancy colored diamonds, GemeWizard, a leader in the development of color communication software and hardware for the gemstone and diamond industries, is enabling members of the industry to use its new program free of charge for a period of three months since May 5.
GemeFancy is a color assessing and communication application that empowers users to accurately identify, describe and communicate all the colors visible in fancy colored diamonds, and recognize their relative location within the GIA Fancy Diamond color range. Earlier color identification methods have provided users with a limited range of color alternatives, and required them to extrapolate in order to arrive at an exact color description. With the new GemeFancy system, the user is able to match every color to an image on the computer screen.
GemeFancy identifies 27 main hues, each of which is modified into 36-42 fancy grades and other color descriptions. Each one represents the accumulative effect of the tones and saturations on a certain hue. The images generated by the GemeFancy are described using standard GIA terminology and GemeWizard's alphanumeric Color Code. The system creates email messages that allow accurate color information to be transferred to a third party, Israelidiamond.Co.Il reports.
Menahem Sevdermish, GemeWizard's founder and developer noted: "Our goal is to provide anybody handling fancy colored diamonds a common language by which he or she can communicate color information to colleagues, clients and suppliers. By creating the GemeFancy, we have provided the industry with tools to make this dream of a common color language a reality."
To use the trial version free of charge for three months with no obligations on the part of the user click here.
GemeWizard will be displaying at the GIA booth at the JCK Show.
