Two of the stores belonged to Distinctive Diamonds, and two other stores – to Global Diamonds.
All four stores will continue to operate under their current brand names, for now. The staff at all four stores will be merging with employees of Diamonds Direct, with an immediate focus on “adopting the Diamonds Direct way,” the company said.
The acquisition of Distinctive Diamonds and Global Diamonds comes less than a year after the company announced that it was buying Dallas retailer Diamond Doctor, which now operates as a Diamonds Direct store.
Diamonds Direct ranked No. 44 on National Jeweler’s 2016 list of North America’s largest 50 jewelry retailers as of the end of 2015.
The Diamonds Direct chain was founded in 1995.
