Rockwell Diamonds, Inc. was founded in 1988. The company was formerly known as Rockwell Ventures, Inc. and changed its name to Rockwell Diamonds Inc. in May 2007.

Company’s Projects
Holpan and Klipdam Property
The Holpan and Klipdam Property is located 45 km from Kimberley, South Africa and consists of the adjacent Holpan 161 and Klipdam 157 farms, covering an area of 3,836 hectares. It is situated adjacent to the Leicester hard rock diamond mine from which exceptionally large diamonds have been recovered, and within an area of significant alluvial diamond operations.
Wouterspan Property
The Wouterspan Property is located near Douglas, South Africa and comprises portions of the Lanyon Vale 376 farm that total 969.4 hectares.
Diamonds of exceptional value have been recovered, including a 156 carat D-flawless stone that sold for approximately US$5.7 million and a 152 carat D-colour stone that sold for approximately US$4.3 million at official tender in 2006.
Makoenskloof property
The Makoenskloof property is located on the north bank of the Middle Orange River some 30 kms south west of Douglas.
Trial mining operations began in July 2007, with the objective of confirming the grade and diamond values for the deposit. A 58 carat gemstone diamond was found at Makoenskloof during initial exploration.
Saxendrift and the South Bank Middle Orange River Operations
The acquisition of Saxendrift and the South Bank Middle Orange River Operations from Trans Hex was concluded in April 2008. The operations and properties include the Saxendrift and Niewejaarskraal open pit alluvial mines and three exploration projects, are located along the south bank of the Middle Orange River.
