DiamondCorp plc is an emerging diamond producer focused on maximising shareholder value through the development of high-margin diamond production assets. The company is incorporated in the UK, and operates in the long established diamondiferous regions of South Africa.

Formed in March 2005, the company raised approximately £9.3 million in pre-IPO financing, which was used to acquire a 74% interest in the Lace diamond project in South Africa’s Free State province and constructed a 1.6 million tonne per annum Dense Media Separation (DMS) diamond recovery plant.

DiamondCorp plc listed on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange on 1 February 2007, raising an additional £2 million of net cash for working capital. In March 2008 DiamondCorp listed on the main board of the JSE Limited.

DiamondCorp has one wholly owned subsidiary, namely DHL (DiamondCorp Holdings Ltd), a BVI incorporated company. DHL, in turn, owns 74 percent of the issued share capital of Lace and 100 percent of the issued capital of Soapstone, both of which are incorporated in South Africa. The BEE Partners each hold 13 percent of the issued share capital of Lace. The empowerment Agreement and Shareholders’ Agreement govern the relationship between DHL and the BEE Partners in relation to Lace.
